Note: The US Embassy in Santo Domingo has reported a significant backlog of fiance visas because many of the applicants do not correctly complete the application form or are missing supporting documentation. To reduce this backlog, these cases are simply being returned to the National Visa Center causing 2-6 month delays for k1 visa applicants until they can correctly complete their applications and resubmit them.
